This Privacy Policy explains how Start Sharp (a trading name of K.Ass Think Tank Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 14875254; “we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses and protects your personal information when you visit startsharp.co.uk, buy our products, or sign up to hear from us. We are the “data controller” of your personal data and are committed to protecting your privacy in line with UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).

We are registered with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), registration number ZB679456.
2. The information we collect
- Identity & contact data — your name and email address (for example when you buy a product, join our email list, or contact us).
- Transaction data — details of the products you’ve bought and when. Card payments are processed securely by our payment provider (Stripe); we never see or store your full card details.
- Marketing & communications data — your preferences for receiving marketing from us, and your correspondence with us.
- Technical & usage data — information collected automatically when you use the site, such as your IP address, browser type, and how you interact with our pages (via cookies and similar technologies).
3. How we collect your data
- Directly from you — when you make a purchase, fill in a form, subscribe, or email us.
- Automatically — through cookies and similar technologies as you use the site.
- From our service providers — such as our checkout, payment and email platforms, who handle data on our behalf.
4. How we use your data, and our legal basis
- To provide the products you buy and deliver your downloads and access links — basis: performance of our contract with you.
- To send purchase confirmations and delivery emails — basis: performance of our contract.
- To send you marketing emails (offers, tips, new resources) where you’ve agreed to receive them — basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- To respond to your enquiries and provide support — basis: our legitimate interests in helping our customers.
- To operate, secure and improve our website — basis: our legitimate interests in running a safe, effective business.
- To meet legal, accounting and tax obligations — basis: compliance with a legal obligation.
5. Marketing
We’ll only send you marketing emails where you’ve consented. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time by clicking it or emailing support@startsharp.co.uk. You’ll still receive essential service messages relating to purchases you’ve made.
6. Who we share your data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with trusted service providers who process it on our behalf to run our business, including:
- Systeme.io — our checkout, email and funnel platform;
- Stripe — secure payment processing;
- Google — delivery of spreadsheet tools;
- Hostinger / WordPress — website hosting.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK/EEA. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as UK/EU-approved standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions) to keep your data protected. We may also disclose data where required by law.
7. How long we keep your data
We keep your personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes above — for example, to service your account, deliver your products, and meet legal and accounting requirements (financial records are typically kept for at least six years). When it’s no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymise it.

Under UK data protection law you have the right to: access your data; have inaccurate data corrected; request erasure; restrict or object to processing; request portability of your data; and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email support@startsharp.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113, though we’d appreciate the chance to help first.

Our website and checkout use cookies and similar technologies to make the site work, remember your preferences, and understand how it’s used. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings; blocking some may affect how the site works.

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, and work only with reputable providers who do the same. Our checkout and payments run over secure, encrypted (SSL) connections. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to safeguard your information.

Our products and website are intended for adults (18+) and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
